I’ve found this printed Panorama from 1842 in a used book store a couple of years ago. The style of the original drawing is beautiful and easy to imitate - that’s why it’s the perfect playground for experiments in time travel illustration. Last summer’s heat wave led me to begin with an attempt at going back to the last ice age. Next steps will be looking into more recent episodes such as the Roman settlements, early Medieval Times, the arrival of railroads. I’ve put together a nice pile of data regarding those phases and can’t wait to continue the journey towards today…
